Can we have a clear written quotation?
Definitely! - after I have seen the work to be done. Prices vary according to size, condition, number of floors, amount of items to be moved, and access to premises. I do not sacrifice the quality of my work to low pricing. That way, value for money and client satisfaction are assured.

How long will a carpet or upholstery item take to dry?   
In the winter, a dirty and stained natural fibre item - usually less than a day. In the summer, a lightly soiled synthetic fibre item - sometimes only an hour.


What about moving fittings and furniture?
I move items that are not too heavy for one person, or are unstable. It is helpful if you can remove small items from the floor.


Are your cleaning solutions safe for a carpet, rug, upholstery, three piece suite, settee, sofa, chair, cushion?
Yes. They will be left free from harmful residues and dirt-attracting elements.  Most of my
solutions are biodegradable.


How can we pay?
By cheque or cash on satisfactory completion of the work and presentation of the invoice, which will be receipted. I am not VAT registered, therefore there is no VAT to be added.


How often should our carpet and upholstery be cleaned?
It depends upon the use to which the item is subjected. Items in the entrance foyer of a busy public building should be cleaned at least monthly. Items in the spare bedroom of one careful lady owner might only need doing once in ten years. For more detail, see "Care Tips" page.


How long does it take to clean, say, a sitting room carpet?
An average sized through room would take about two hours. Beware of cleaners who offer silly prices. They would be in and out in an hour or less, leaving the carpet looking patchy.


Can you get rid of an odour?
Sometimes. It depends on what and where is the  source of the odour.
